Shame there's no Motörhead in the lineup, Ace of Spades or Bomber would have been great additions. Still there's always the possibility for a Season 2 OST if the next series gets the green light. Ace Of Spades in particular was pretty iconic of the early 80's and is the ultimate background music for a bit of on-screen violence.

Still, it's nice to see The Stranglers in the mix, especially as my cousin drummed with them at one point.

If you ever decide to switch from Blogger to Wordpress sometime, let me know and I'll give you some pointers. There's a snaggletooth shaped pod out there ready and waiting.

One of the advantages of Wordpress is you can create your own pages along with the main blogging one. My test site only has a couple of Spartanly populated ones for testing purposes at the moment, but I'll build on them some time.

Copying posts from Blogger to a hosted Worpress blog is dead hard....not, you just need to press a button. It's nearly as easy as falling asleep........

Thanks for the prompt George, once I am back on my feet proper I may well seek out the Wordpress alternative. I have been thinking for a while about moving away from the black background for a while as I don't think the white text on black is always reader friendly.

Daffodils & Crêpes

I wandered lonely as a cloud, That floats on high o'er vales and hills, When all at once I saw a crepe eating crowd, A host, of narcotic daffodils. L'amuse Gueule crêperie, a strange venue for music, but in psychedelia strange is good. The last pancakes were munched, the diners departed and the strains of a sitar filled the air. Cue guitar, bass & drums and some hypnotic, pulsating music from The Narcotic Daffodils . At times reminiscent of Hawkwind in their prime, the band produced a wall of sound that had me in head banging heaven. They did however vary their sound quite a bit, with two covers thrown into the mix for good measure. Personally I'd like to hear them do more psychedelic material, but speaking to keyboardist and Sitar maestro Simon Rigot after the show, they want to keep their music varied. But hey, a heady cocktail of rock and mind expanding melodies is OK by me. I'd also like to hear more Sitar, but as Simon also plays keyboards that would be a tad ...
