IGN Top 25 Live Albums

There's nothing like a top music list to stir up a bit of controversy. In this case I stumbled on this list of the Top 25 Live Albums on IGN.COM

Gaping omissions for me are Hawkwind's - Space Ritual, Motörhead's - No Sleep Till Hammersmith and Thin Lizzie's - Live and Dangerous.

If anyones got any other great live album suggestions that you think should have made the grade, feel free to post them.

An interesting selection but I am totally in agreement with you over the 3 notable absences you mention - Space Ritual (unequalled in live album terms), No Sleep Til Hammersmith, Live & Dangerous; i'd add in the Priest album 'Unleashed In The East' and UFO's 'Strangers In The Night'. I note the choice of Blue Oyster Cult's 'Extraterrestrial Live' but I would say 'Some Enchanted Evening' is the better one?

I seem to remember reading that Lemmy's favorite Motörhead live album was Everything Louder Than Everything Else. That's pretty damn good too.

A damn fine choice George, ELTEE is a fantastic live album but for me No Sleep tops it for a few reasons, one it was a (very pleasant) shock to the ears when it came out and two it was the tour I first saw the band live. PS Thanks for the write up on the Pink Fairies on my blog.
PPS I see you are in Fife, I am in Highland!
