A Shaggy Bird story

In the course of discussing penguins in the office, as you do,one of my colleagues said and I quote: -

The Penguin. Part bird, part fish; or is it a mammal?

No way I scoffed, penguins have beaks, and wings. Clearly a descendant of the dinosaur, like their feathered cousins. A trawl of the web however, turned up above picture, which clearly proves, that penguins are in fact part fish!

Furthermore, as this BBC footage shows, Penguins are in fact flying fish.



I'm not sure about the mammal part mind, although I did hear rumors of a waddle of Emperor Penguins spotted breast feeding in a Melbourne diner. The customers were apparently outraged by this behavior and bombarded the mammaryial miscreants with fillets of fish. These were promptly dispatched with some aplomb down the gullets of the intended targets, before the bouncer, a large kangaroo called Steve, threw them out onto the street.

I wonder what they're like battered and deep fried? A Penguin supper anyone?
